Now, her story is being portrayed in the critically-acclaimed movie, The Iron Lady, top-billed by award-winning American actress, Meryl Streep. She is nominated for this role in the Best Actress Category for the 2011 Golden Globe Awards.
The UK Premiere of the movie held at the BFI Southbank was well attended and the stars, including Jim Broadbent (who plays Denis Thatcher), were all in good spirits.
Aside from the main characters, the actors who played the younger versions of the power couple, Harry Lloyd and Alexandra Roach, were also present. Roach looked great in her period outfit and hairdo.
