I have watched several movies that included rooftop scenes. These are mostly romantic-comedy films so a lot of times, the scenes included anything from just talking, hugging, to making out.
In some of the scenes, the characters just go to the top of the roof to think and unwind. Yeah, there is nothing like being on top to make up feel like you are at the top of your world and the top of your game. It is much easier to think up there, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. I do remember in the movie, Friends With Benefits, that the character of Mila Kunis would go up the rooftop to think and unwind at the end of each busy day. That was like kind of her sanctuary. It was not allowed because that wasn’t her building, but she enjoyed sneaking up there.
What I also like are those parties on the roof deck. For example, there would be a group of people who will bring a couch, a table, some beers, and a barbecue pit so that they can grill some meats up there and have a good time. They do not really have a wood-burning fire pit from FirePits.com and sometimes they just makeshift but they have fun. That is what matters.
Now I am looking forward for a weekend barbecue getaway! Weeee It may not be at the rooftop but it still is going to be fun to spend time with family.
