Rise of the Guardians 2012

Source Wikipedia:

Rise of the Guardians is an upcoming 2012 American 3D computer-animated fantasy-adventure film based on William Joyce’s The Guardians of Childhood book series. Produced by DreamWorks Animation and directed by Peter Ramsey, the film will be released on November 21, 2012. Joyce is also exec-producing, along with Guillermo del Toro.

Rise of the Guardians stars Chris Pine, Isla Fisher, Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin, Jude Law, and Dakota Goyo. It will be the last DreamWorks Animation film to be distributed by Paramount Pictures, as DreamWorks Animation has signed a 5-year distribution deal with 20th Century Fox, starting in 2013.

This film is about a boy named Jack Frost (Pine) who is very a carefree. He absolutely has no other responsibility but to bring winter wherever he goes. But when Pitch (Law) the Nightmare King begins his sinister plan, the Guardians, Santa Claus (Baldwin), the Tooth Fairy (Fisher), the Easter Bunny (Jackman) and the Sandman all enlist Jack Frost to join their group and protect the world from Pitch.

Sounds good? I think I will catch this one. :D But I am not sure if my daughter will appreciate this one.

18th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards

January is just the month of American movie awards because it marks the achievements of actors, actresses, and production people after one year. Another glamorous awards night before the Academy Awards 2012 is the 18th Screen Actors Guild Awards, or better known as the SAG Awards. It is actually an award giving body of actors, by actors, and to actors. Sorry if I made it sound rather self-serving. LOL

But it is nice and glamorous and at least, the actors may have different thoughts that the other award-giving bodies, right? And so it is another opportunity for some less recognized actors to also win awards. Additionally, it is another reason to glam up. :D
