So In Love with The Avengers Movie

The Avengers movie

Yesterday, we had a movie date with our cell group mates to watch The Avengers movie. No kiddos with us. We went to watch the 5:50PM screening at Robinsons Movie World. It was the second day already yet there were so many people!

But we were happy that we did catch it on the big screen! We love it! I am not a very critical person but I do have some comments with these superhero flicks but for this one I love! We don’t feel that the story is too short or what. We felt satisfied after the movie without feeling left hanging. Hubby feels like Iron Man while I feel like Pepper Potts! LOL Well at least we are a perfect combination.

Love the effects, the humor, and how they were encouraged to work together to defeat the enemy. We could really learn a lesson from this movie, in the sense that in the ultimate fight against evil will mean that we should know who we are and we should not be at war with our brothers because we will easily fall.

Watch it from beginning to end and don’t go out to pee because you will miss a lot! It is fast-paced and packs a lot of action. So if you haven’t watched The Avengers yet, better catch it soon!

Something Borrowed

Something Borrowed

Something Borrowed

As usual, the home movie dates that hubby and I have at home are feel-good movies. This romantic comedy was released in 2011 and stars Ginnifer Goodwin, Kate Hudson, Colin Egglesfield, and John Krasinski. It was distributed by Warner Bros.

Goodwin plays the role of Rachel White–a down to earth and humble lawyer who is best friends with Darcy (Kate Hudson)–a feisty lady who always gets what she wants. And this includes Rachel’s long-time crush, Dex (Egglesfield).

You may think that it is the usual story where in the end the nice girl gets the boy, but just watch it because the scenes in-between are interesting. I am not really sure if I felt good afterwards so I will not consider it a feel-good movie other than it is a romantic comedy film. But I was entertained and I love Kate Hudson here. She is just a natural for these roles.

Something Borrowed was directed by Luke Greenfield.

A Healthier Lifestyle

weight problems

Look at how fat I have become. And the weight problem is only the tip of the iceberg. It is just one of my many health problems right now.

As a work at home mom, I am prone to abusing myself in terms of diet, lack of exercise, and excessive home entertainment exposure, like watching TV overnight until the next day. hehe I am guilty of that.

The least I can do really is to take some supplements and also to detox and cleanse from time to time in order to rid my body of toxins.

But mine is not really those structured cleanses. I will just skip a meal and then maybe drink some vegetable or fruit shake. Or a combination of both. But what I would like to do is to do a cleanse like that of Clean Program. It is like resetting the body’s system in order to make it more efficient.

The Clean Program has a special recipe of shakes, which, when combined with the right diet and some exercise, will really have a profound effect on your health. The cleanse is actually simple–to take their shakes in the morning and evening, have regular lunches, and then take their supplements. It sounds really good and I am interested to do it. For good health.

I sure wish I could do it soon. I need to be healthy, for the sake of my family and myself.
