Jim Carrey with his unusual pets on Mr. Popper's Penguins
Sometimes, it is nice to watch romantic comedy films because they make me feel good and tingly all over. But sometimes, it is also nice to get a dose of a lighthearted film that involves transformation. It does not mean the physical kind–but something that happens from within.
Such was the case of Mr. Popper’s Penguins starring Jim Carrey. You can just imagine how chaotic life would be for a divorced man when several penguins were made to live with him in his New York penthouse. At first it was hard for him, but eventually, he came to terms with them. And it was not a matter of how he accepted the penguins but also the different things and events in his life.
Sigh…
He was a sad man inside but a proud and busy man on the outside. Although the holidays were coming, he did not have nice Christmas Table Decorations from the White Company because even his children could not stand him.
But thankfully, in the end, he was able to redeem himself and he was able to win back his family. It was a lovely movie that sometimes, I can’t help but think if the actors in these kinds of movies are actually moved by the storyline?
Anyway, I would like to watch this movie again so that I can better appreciate it.
